Everything this polo says about itself, it says quietly: a texture you only catch in raking light, a placket with nothing on it, a mark you find from behind.
The textured front knit
The front is knitted with a texture the back does not carry — a fine vertical cable that only shows when the light crosses it. Supima is the long-staple cotton this is made in; it is what lets a knit this fine hold a face without going slack.

Paolo Martini men’s short-sleeve textured knit polo shirt in Black, Code 109.
The field behind it is the house knit — a chess pointelle. Squares of eight-by-eight eyelets alternate with plain jersey squares, the eyelets transferred on every fourth wale and every fourth course. Cast in glass and held back to a shade, it carries the film without ever competing with the piece.
Every garment is constructed using a harmonious balance of traditional hand tailoring and modern precision.
